چکیده
Background: The effects of Pb-induced neurotoxicity have been largely established; however, the need for proper neuroprotective agents to mitigate remains vague. Objectives: This study aimed at investigating pre-treatment with vitexin and C. cajan extract against in Wistar rats. Methods: Twenty-four male rats were randomly assigned into four groups (n=6). control group was administered 0.5 mL distilled water, Pb received acetate (200 mg/kg), vitexin+Pb Vitexin (50 mg/kg) an hour before cajan+Pb mg/kg). All treatments done within 28 days. Barnes maze test novel object recognition (NOR) ascertain working memory, while levels oxidative stress markers (MDA, SOD, GPx) also tested. In addition, prefrontal cortical sections stained H&E stain, immunoreactivity Iba1 Nrf2 examined. Results: There a significant decline memory group, but good maintained pretreated groups. groups, stress, neuronal damage, expression significantly low compared group. Also, other Conclusion: Pretreatment offers neuroprotection toxicity via antioxidant anti-inflammation actions. Although both showed abilities, exhibited better results.

Evaluation of hepatoprotective activity of ethanolic extract of Cajanus cajan against paracetamol induced hepatotoxicity in rats
Objective: Ethanol extract of Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp. (Pigeonpea) leaves (ECC) was investigated for its hepatoprotective activity. Methods: Different groups of Wistar albino rats were administered with paracetamol (500 mg/kg, p.o., once daily for 7 days) for induction of hepatotoxicity. ECC (100, 200 and 300 mg/kg/day) and silymarin (25 mg/kg/day) were administered to the paracetamol induced...

Objective(s):Acrylamide (ACR) has broad applications in different industries. It also forms in food during heating process. Oxidative stress has a critical role in ACR-induced neurotoxicity in both in vitro and in vivo models; therefore, the aim of the current study was the evaluation of effects of thymoquinone, the main constituent of volatile oil from Nigella sativa seeds in ACR-induced neuro...

15 صفحه اولGinger and Propolis Exert Neuroprotective Effects against Monosodium Glutamate-Induced Neurotoxicity in Rats.
Central nervous system cytotoxicity is linked to neurodegenerative disorders. The objective of the study was to investigate whether monosodium glutamate (MSG) neurotoxicity can be reversed by natural products, such as ginger or propolis, in male rats. Four different groups of Wistar rats were utilized in the study. Group A served as a normal control, whereas group B was orally administered with...
متن کاملNeuroprotective effects of sodium hydrosulfide against β-amyloid-induced neurotoxicity
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is known to be caused by the accumulation of amyloid-β peptide (Aβ). The accumulation of Aβ has been shown to cause learning and memory impairment in rats, and it has been shown that hydrogen sulfide donors, such as sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS) can attenuate these effects. However, the underlying mechanisms have not yet been fully eludicated. This study was designed to in...
